How prescription rules work

Every product in the catalogue carries a badge that tells you how it can be sold, in line with UAE pharmacy rules.

  • OTC Over the counter — pain relief, vitamins, cold & flu and personal care. Add to cart and order directly; a pharmacist is available if you have questions.
  • Rx Prescription-only — antibiotics, long-term medicines and many others. A licensed pharmacist must verify a valid prescription (for example your e-prescription reference) before anything is dispensed.
  • CD Controlled & semi-controlled — these cannot be sold online. They are dispensed only in person at a pharmacy, against an original valid prescription.
